What we teach

THE SCRIPTURES

We believe that the Bible is the inerrant, inspired, infallible Word of God, as given to us in the sixty-six books from Genesis to Revelation. We believe that God's Word has been preserved for every generation, and that it is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

GOD

We believe in one true and living God revealed in the Scriptures as eternally existing in three Persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. This belief is called the Trinity.

JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ, eternally existing, is the only begotten Son of God born of a virgin; He is true God and true man. He lived a sinless life upon the earth and died a substitionary death for the sins of all mankind; He rose bodily from the grave on the third day; He ascended bodily into Heaven where He continues His ministry at the right hand of God as our Advocate and High Priest; He is personally, visibly and imminently returning to this earth to setup His kingdom.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Scriptures assign to the Holy Spirit all the attributes of God; that this present era of the church is, in a special way, the dispensation of the Holy Spirit; and that His ministry in the world includes reproving, regeneration, indwelling, guiding, and empowering men.

SIN

We believe that man was created in the image of God and in his original state made innocent; that by exercise of his own free will he disobeyed God and, thereby, fell into a state of sin and condemnation; Now all of mankind exists as a fallen race, with an inherited sinful nature and are separated from God and are in need of a new birth.

SALVATION

We believe that salvation is a gift of God's grace and is received by biblical repentance and personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, trusting in His atoning sacrifice at the cross. There is no other means of being saved except through Jesus. Therefore, we herald the biblical teaching that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to scripture alone, for the glory of God alone. We believe that all those born again by the Spirit of God are kept by the power of God and are secure in Christ forever. We believe it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation through the promise of God’s Word.

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

We believe that Christian life is to live a righteous, pure and holy life; that he is called to be a witness for Christ; that he is to be faithful in attending his church; and that he is to support his church by his tithes and offerings.

THE CHURCH

We believe that the local church is a group of baptized believers who have voluntarily joined themselves together to serve the gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that the establishment and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures. We believe in the autonomy of the local church free of any external authority or control.
